We are delighted to announce phase one of our long term renovations plans will start on January 19th 2015
How Long Will It Take?
Work will begin on January 19th 2015 and last around 26 weeks.
What we are doing?
Phase One - This phase includes taking down the kitchen, toilet and chair store area. We will then rebuild new toilet facilities and a new, additional, room in the current carpark area. The roof will also be stripped back and refurbished.
How much it's going to cost?
This first phase will cost around £250,000.
Who is doing the work?
We are pleased to announce that the contractor for the work is
RJK Construction (Midlands) Ltd.
Thanks to fund raising efforts by many groups in the village, funds from 106 money (money paid to the village by builders) and from generous donations from individuals and other find givers including a very generous donation for Tarmac Lafarge and the Derbyshire Environmental Trust.
We would like to thank Greenwoods Projects, Glancy Nichols Architects and Alrewas Architects for giving their time free of charge and helping to make this project a reality. Please see their contact details on the LINKS page.
